10 Life Saving Health Care Tips and Checklists for a Safe Hospital Stay

One-in-three hospital patients is accidentally harmed or killed in US hospitals every year
even in the best hospitals, even during the simplest procedures. Continuing its efforts to educate, inform and empower the people of Chicago, SAVE THE PATIENT is hosting a 25-minute live call-in show, "Community Health," focused on hospital safety. The program will air on Chicago Access Network (CAN-TV) on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 6:00 PM on Channel 21.

Lenore Janecek will host Karen Curtiss, Founder of CampaignZERO, and author of SAFE AND SOUND IN THE HOSPITAL to discuss common -- preventable -- hospital hazards. Curtiss will share easy-to-use checklists and key tips anyone can follow to better assure a safe hospital stay.
